True..the stairs aren't visible to me,
But that's not good enough to stop me!

MASKS!

All had her ear and heart,
Though she knew they would one day part;
All see her smile which was never heartfelt,
For she smiled only when she was with herself!

Do all find her mask invisible?
Or was not caring to ask, more feasible?
Beautifully hiding the pain behind the smiles,
She made many moments worthwhile!

But when the world is fast asleep,
She digs into her secrets deep;
Now you know why she is in disguise,
because you never bothered to look into her eyes!

Physically heavier is what I am feeling,
Accepting this life has lightened my soul which is now dancing,
My happy mind is and hence will always be singing,
"Thank you God for EVERYTHING!!!"

I am alive!!!

I AM ALIVE!

Opening my eyes I knew I was Alive,
Though happy, I wondered how did I survive?

The spark that grew into a smoldering fire to engulf me,
The waves furiously crashing and making me fall on my knees,
Had me facing and fighting them valiantly,
Determined I was to not take a single breath lightly,
because each of my breath was my second chance,
making me fervently believe.." Yess..This too shall pass!"

I had to be strong because being strong was my only choice,
Sustaining the agony and not giving up has given me more reasons to rejoice! 

Passing through the dark tunnel..No I cudnt wait for the light at the end anymore,
Instead I chose to shine and illuminate the tunnel with the agonising fire in my soul!

As my battle ended, like a Phoenix, I arose thanking the Lord in depth,
As without the struggle how could he have measured my strength!

The love from you all was the hook that kept me from going astray,
I shall now be the wings to take your thoughts near and far away!

See the reflection of the street lights in the liquid mirror,
Formed on the roads which is now much  clearer!

Hear the rain drops and enjoy feeling better,
Slip in your blankets & enjoy feeling warmer!

You can never appreciate the purity of the sunshine,
Unless you have felt the quiet peace in the soft rain!

And the best thing you can do while it's raining,
Is to just sit and enjoy the rhythm of the rain!

LESSONS

While we ponder and list out our agonies we're going through,
We tend to forget it could have been worse than this too!

We so easily ignore and fail to absorb this simple realisation,
Which does not require any training or extreme visualisation!

Life hence introduces us to mortals facing bigger trials than we are,
Making us realise and understand what tests and trials, actually are!

Warriors are they, facing challenges umpteen,
and yet they are so calm and peaceful,
That in spite of their pain and restraints,
they are happier and cheerful!

So let's take this as an opportunity,
to check and appreciate the reality!
Acknowledge this simple fact,   
And see how delightful you feel in fact!

Thank you god for making me laugh,
it makes me realise I am already enough!
Thank you god for what you have made me,
for, now.. I write my own story!

MOTHER NATURE!

Lost among the evergreen tall trees,
My senses awoke hearing the crumpling sound of the dry leaves!
Retelling my memories was the sunny sky, 
"No more tears" said the wild flowers that grew nearby!
I could hear my name being called out aloud,
By the waterfalls, that made Mother Earth so proud!
Making me feel home were the soft grass under my feet,
As the sunset showed me colors that I had never seen!
Healing and soothing my wounds was Mother Nature,
Gradually I could feel my thoughts falling in order!

Filling my ears with magical whispers were the dense woods,
Making me feel loved and accepted as nature's special child!
Glowing equally under the light of the sun and the moon.. breathing the wild air,
I had my doubts whether I had turned into a shooting star?

Said my Intuition,
"Can't thank you more",
Said my Heart with conviction!

"Do you regret trusting me?"
Asked my Intuition emotionally.
"I may play tricks creating confusion,
I may be without any vision,

"Bitter truth is what I show, still why obey me?",
Asked my Intuition sensing my infallible faith it!

"You feed the soul and not the ego, hence I am happy,"

Am I searching for things that cannot be found?

Hardships are life's bridges to move from dark to a place well lit,

SUNLIGHT THROUGH MY WINDOW

Stuck in the dark for quiet a long time,
I have started my walk towards sunshine!
I wish to capture each sunlight,
and not just witness sunset and sunrise!
I sit not fearing solitude and enjoying the golden lit silence,
wearing a crown of wild flowers with enchanting fragrance!
watching very particle dancing in the sun light,
I hold on to my beliefs with all my might!
Putting an end to self doubt which was paralysing the growth of mine,
I fear no darkness, as now I carry my sunshine!

Extraordinary

You love Roses, you said,
Ever tried loving leaves instead?
For loving the beautiful is ordinary,
Loving the ordinary is extraordinary!

Raindrops

I can see the rain drops on the tree tops
dripping down to bring out the green in the leaves,
I can see the rain drops on the roof tops
dripping down to clean the dusty window sills,
I can see the rain drops fall on my stretched out palms and slip away,
dripping down to clear each of my pain of yesterday!
I can see the rain drops fall like soft kisses from the heavens so blue,
Oh dear rain drops! Please let me feel you on my face too!!!

WHY

Eyes staring at me, asking me "WHY?"
Stepping out of my shell, now I know "WHY?"
Today those that say "Are u really going to do this?"
Tomorrow I bet they will say " How did you do this?"

Life tried to bury me...
Pushing me down and deep..
And that's when I realised..
Oh! I am a seed!!!

Swarga vadhil Ekadashi!

Vishnu Purana says fasting on Vaikuntha Ekadashi,
is equivalent to fasting on the all the
Ekadashis!
Scriptures say that the gates of his divine abode,
the Vaikuntam, was opened by the merciful Lord,
for two demons who said stories and hence asked for a boon,
that whoever listens to them and sees the the Lord coming out of the door,
will reach Vaikunth,  through the Swarga Vaadhil, the divine door!

Padma Purana tells us the tale of the demon Muran,
who was slayed by the Lord Vishnus's energy, a female ansham!
Pleased by this act that happened on the 11th day of lunar month of Dhanu Rashi,
Lord Vishnu named his female energy as ‘Ekadashi’!
And so she was gifted with a blessing,
that whoever worship her on this day of her victory,
would reach the Lords divine abode,
through the divine golden door!

So oh vishnu bhaktas observe the fast of this month,
and get moksha from the cycle of life and death!

♡AMBIVALENCE♡

Oblivious on how things will reel out for me,
I acquiesce the unseen..the concealed!
Excruciating at times it makes me feel,
yet have learnt to acknowledge it artistically!

Why should I speculate the worst,
when I have a choice to reckon the best,
In no hurry to reach anywhere,
I am living each day like a whiff of fresh air!

No more getting entangled in the web of stress,
that oh so religiously is spun by each of us,
no more thinking and brooding of the future,
that none of us can ever augur!

Let us face this ambivalence,
since life is laden with them,
any thing can happen at any time
might as well gear up to face them!

Dancing trees

Dancing to the tune of the wind are the trees,
Singing in chorus are the ever rustling leaves;
I let the cool breeze overtake the soul of mine,
As the warm sunlight fills the winter sky
The warm rays penetrating my skin
Appreciating the magical mix of nature I let myself sink!

Face your demons.. Head on!

Have no qualms and abandon the apathy,
pick up a brawl with the demons in thee!
Build up trust and faith in yourself,
and destroy the root cause of distress in thyself!

Yes, its easier said than done,
but trust me my friend,
This is only how you can salvage,
your diminishing semblance and privilege!

Sustaining the stretching and pulling of life,
this is an incredibly important time in my life,
Being kicked out from my comfort zone,
I am ready to reach out for more.

Life's hard knocks have shattered me in many ways,
leaving hardly any uneffected inch of what I can or cannot display,
but I know the more deeply things pulverise,
the stronger and wiser is the new me that arise!

Battling with all the changes in my life,
I am learning how to survive,
turning sturdy and stronger day after day,
realising of how much pain can I handle anyway!

Cease shrinking away from difficulties,
enough of ambling with apologies,
no more brushing off them,
it's time, you head on face them!!!

Yours fears would try their best,
to convince you and make you feel less,
but believe and be presumptous,
who can stop you from being victorious?

Such is the magic of believing,
that eagerly I await for the year ahead,
No matter how it's gonna treat me,
I am ready with my sword and my shield.
